City Dared to Order 100 Units of Mercedes Benz

Jakarta Provincial Government says dared to directly order 100 units of Transjakarta bus from German company, Mercedes Benz. It would be conducted, as long as the company can produce a bus in accordance with the specifications submitted by the city.

"If it is good, we'll order 100 units," said Jakarta Governor Basuki T Purnama, at City Hall, Wednesday (615).
His party acknowledged deliberately invited the famous carmaker producing the bus. He does not want to purchase Chinese bus due to quality.

He admitted will prepare budget from City Budget (APBD). Even it has been allocated to public service obligation (PSO) amounting to Rp 3.2 trillion for next year. "Don't talk about budget, certainly we prepare subsidy by Rp 3.2 trillion per year for PSO," he expressed
As replacement, he asks for a discount for maintenance cost. Thus it could be run by sole agents (ATPM).
"I ask for discount between 20-30 percent for bus maintenance," he finished.
